81 Leonard Gallery is pleased to present the solo exhibition of New York-based artist Kevin Cobb. Curated by Elizabeth Skalka, the exhibition will feature Cobb’s recent paintings, drawings, and digital works grappling with themes relating to the displacement of self and transference.

Kevin Cobb (b. 1994) is a New York based painter whose work engages both physical and digital space. Combining imagined perspectives with meticulously considered observed detail, Cobb ruminates on the notion of seeing beyond sight. Throughout his practice, Cobb returns to themes of viewership-often placing his audience in the viewpoint of his own head- exploring the mechanisms of light, reflection, refraction, and ocular processing.
